Science Hill is proud to be a smoke-free campus!!
A 100 percent tobacco-free school policy reflects a firm commitment by school administration, teachers and parents to provide students, personnel, and community members a safe, tobacco-free  environment. Tobacco-free schools (including alternate nicotine products and vapor products) give adults the opportunity to be role models for tobacco-free lifestyles and set the tone for reduced social acceptance of tobacco use. In addition, studies show that students in tobacco-free schools are less likely to start smoking. More resources here.

We are going to continue our tradition that Mr. Ray loved so much.  We will begin collecting items for “Hope Lodge”. This year Maddy Dudley, former student, is doing this for a P.C. High School Project.   She has asked us to help her with this service project. Maddy will give a REWARD to the homeroom who brings in the most items between next Monday, November 25th and December 18th.

    • Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex)

    • Non-perishable foods

    From Nurse Greta

Our Schoolhouse Mobile van is here on Wednesday mornings and they are now able to give any student a flu shot.  You must have filled out the packet that was sent home at the beginning of the school year plus you will need to fill out a consent for the flu shot.  Your insurance will be charged and you may be billed for any charges that your insurance doesn’t cover.  (It would be just like you are going to the doctor’s office to get it.)  Please get with Nurse Greta to get the proper forms filled out and to be added to the schedule.  If you have any questions, you can call school and talk with Nurse Greta or if it’s an insurance question, you can call LCMA at 451-2756 and speak to the Mobile van’s receptionist.

    Pop Tab Collection

Please help 4th and 5th graders with their service project of collecting pop tabs for 4-H club. The collected pop tabs will be recycled and the money earned will be used to sponsor children to attend a summer camp. You may turn in any pop tabs to Mrs. Eastham or give to any 4th or 5th grader.

Thank you for helping us give back to our community!
