Could you join Grant in his project by saving all of your plastic caps (drink bottles, milk and juice, detergent caps, etc.)? A complete list of acceptable caps is included on back of menu. A recycling bin is set up in Ms. Sewell’s classroom. Grant would like to thank you for your help with this project.

4-H Pop Tab Collection

Please help 4th and 5th graders with their service project of collecting pop tabs for 4-H club. The collected pop tabs will be recycled and the money earned will be used to sponsor children to attend a summer camp. You may turn in any pop tabs to Mrs. Eastham or give to any 4th or 5th grader.  Thank you for helping us give back to our community!

Grandparent Support Group

Are you raising a grandchild in your home? If so, you are invited to attend our monthly support group. The group meets once a month and shares experiences. We have programs and speakers designed for grandparents and a free lunch provided. This free service is provided by the Family Resource and Youth Service Centers of Pulaski County, Somerset and Science Hill Schools.

If you would like more information, please call Keli Nelson at 679-7824 or your Family Resource Services Center at your child’s school. Pulaski Co. Public Library – 107 North Main Street, Somerset.

Remember, Car Rider Hangers are required!!!! Please place the hanger on your rearview mirror and leave it there until your child is in the car. All new students receive the first car hanger free. (If you need to purchase extra hangers, you may do so in the office. Hangers are $2.00 each.) Thanks to those of you who are using the car-rider hangers consistently. It does help speed up the pick-up line when everyone uses them. As a result of our increased speed, we are now able to finish our dismissal 3:15 – 3:20 p.m.  For those of you who like a short line, you can come around 3:10 p.m. and zip right through!  Thank you for helping us to develop a smooth running end to our day!

The school’s Wellness Policy can be found at the following link. Please take time to check it out.  http://www.sciencehill.kyschools.us/information
